Get involved with OSFL

The Office of Sorority and Fraternity Life has several involvement opportunities for members of our community. If you have questions about the involvement opportunities, please email osfl@iu.edu.

Leadership, Prevention, and Wellness Educators (LPWEs)

Leadership, Prevention, and Wellness Educators help facilitate our leadership, prevention, and wellness programs for the entire sorority/fraternity community. LPWEs are expected to facilitate 2-3 programs a week, up to eight hours based on availability. Pay begins at $14/hour.

This position is great for someone who wants to put their membership to work and gain transferable skills for their future career.

We’re looking for individuals who are:

    • Interested in advancing the community through educational programs.
    • Looking to develop their public speaking/facilitation skills.
    • Reliable and coachable.

Help Desk Interns (HDIs)

The position assists with reception duties for the Office of Sorority and Fraternity Life, including answering phone calls and emails, assisting visitors, and performing clerical work as needed (e.g. typing, filing, copying and database management, and assisting with additional projects assigned by professional staff members).

Help Desk Interns must be able to work shifts between the hours of 9:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Pay begins at $12/hour. Previous office and/or customer service-related experience is beneficial but not required.

Graduate Internships and Practicums

Are you a graduate or doctoral student looking for experience working with the Sorority and Fraternity community? We offer tailored, project-based internships and practicums based on availability and need.

We participate every year in the HESA Practicum Fair. However, we are happy to discuss availability and options for internships at any time of the year. If interested, please email osfl@iu.edu to express interest in setting up an exploratory meeting with an OSFL staff member.
