Leadership programs that are tailored to your strengths and goals
Hoosier Leadership Program
The Hoosier Leadership Program recognizes that leadership isn’t a position, but a process: exploring values, honing leadership skills, and becoming an inclusive leader are the secrets to success in your career and in life.
High-impact leadership experiences offer you experiential learning that parallels your academic coursework.
The Institute, in partnership with LeaderShape® is a four-day immersive leadership retreat held at a camp located off campus. You won’t learn how to run better meetings—you’ll learn to change the world, whatever that might mean to you.
This year's Institute will take place March 9–12, 2024, at Bradford Woods.

Improving your cultural competency
As you move through your time at Indiana University, broadening your knowledge of and shared experiences with the people and the world around you is essential. Learning from and with those who have different lived experiences than you will help you to cultivate positive, sustained relationships with your peers, and will improve your ability to engage with and contribute to the university and local community.
The Student Involvement and Leadership Center offers two programs that assess personal and group intercultural knowledge and dynamics. Participation in these programs will help you engage your current levels of intercultural understanding and will suggest next steps for continued improvement.
