Mandatory Student Fee Review
Every two years Indiana University reviews the allocation of mandatory student fees.
The Mandatory Fee Review process provides departments and campus wide student organizations of Indiana University Bloomington an opportunity to request funding support from mandatory student fees for the next two academic years.The committee this year will determine fee distribution for the 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 academic years. The review is co-chaired by the presidents of the IU Student Government (IUSG) and the Graduate and Professional Student Government (GPSG)with a committee of seven-nine current IU Bloomington students under the supervision of the Vice Provost for Student Affairs. The committee submits funding recommendations to the Provost regarding the distribution of mandatory student fees. Join The 2023 Committee for Fee Review
The application deadline to serve on the Committee for Fee Review is Friday, November 4, 2022 at 11:59 PM (EST). Applicants will be notified if they are accepted onto the committee by Monday November 14, 2022.
Organizations that currently receive funding will receive communication from the co-chairs regarding the process and deadlines by Friday September 30, 2022.
New Student Organization Admittance into the CFR
New student organizations not currently receiving funding from the Committee for Fee Review may petition to receive funding for the new CFR cycle.
Organizations that would like to request consideration for funding for the first time can submit a one-page proposal to Assistant Dean Katie Paulin at firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday October 28, 2022. New organizations will receive notification of their acceptance or denial into the CFR process by Friday November 4, 2022 at 11:59 PM .
If organizations are accepted into the process, co-chairs will reach out to organization leaders by Monday November 21, 2022 to outline next steps for final proposal submission and presentation.
