About Kelly

Kelly Kinsman, LMFT (she/her) holds a master’s degree in Marriage, Family and Child Therapy. Before joining CAPS, Kelly worked in non-profit mental health for over 16 years. Kelly’s work in this capacity covers a wide array of services across a variety of environments, including residential treatment, crisis intervention, and community-based care. 

Kelly recognizes her work with young adults- particularly systems involved youth- their families and their communities as both a privilege and an honor. She is grateful to have had this opportunity to engage with, and learn from, the many diverse individuals gracious enough to share their stories and perspectives with her. Kelly looks forward to connecting with students and supporting their unique and individual needs to promote a positive and healthy experience during their time at IU. 

When she is not working Kelly enjoys spending time with family, immersing herself in nature, and soaking up the beautiful surroundings Bloomington has to offer.
