Originally from Floyds Knobs, Indiana, Andi serves as an Assistant Dean for Care & Advocacy to provide support, guidance, and resource referrals to students in need. Andi also supervises the Student Advocates Office and Student Legal Services, serves on the Care Team, coordinates the Office of Student Life’s On-Call Response Team, and works to support off-campus, graduate, and professional students facing unique challenges while pursuing their academic goals.

Prior to this role, Andi served as the Director of Residence Life here at IU providing leadership and direction to the undergraduate residence halls students and staff. Andi has nearly 30 years of experience supporting students in Student Life on campuses in the Midwest, including Millikin University to the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign and has been at IU since 2017.

Andi received her Bachelor of General Studies, Magna Cum Laude from Western Kentucky University (WKU) in 1995, and her Master of Arts in Education also from WKU in 1998 where she studied Student Affairs & Higher Education Administration. Andi is dedicated to creating safe and inclusive spaces on campus for all students while working collaboratively with staff, faculty, and families to help students be successful as they navigate their educational journey here at IU.
