The Student Care and Resource Center provides assistance to Indiana University students experiencing challenges that impact their ability to be safe, healthy, and successful. We work to understand each individual's circumstances, identify their needs and connect them to the most appropriate campus and community resources.

Shop the food pantry

Crimson Cupboard offers free food to students who are unable to afford groceries. You can shop the pantry up to once a week.

Get an Absence Notification Memo

If you are currently hospitalized or have experienced a death in your immediate family, we can help by sending an absence notification memo to your instructors and support you during this challenging time.

Apply for emergency funding

Apply for emergency funding up to $500 for unexpected expenses, such as an unusually high utility bill or medical expenses.

Learn where to meet your basic needs

We know how important it is for your basic needs to be met so you can focus on your education and other life goals.

Borrow a laptop

Are you in need of a laptop due to unforeseen circumstances? Contact us to schedule an appointment.

Outreach and training

Members of the Care Team are available to provide education and training to Indiana University students, staff, and faculty about what we do, how we function and how we can help.

Outcomes of our presentation include:

  • How to identify a student in distress
  • How to appropriately communicate with someone about whom you are concerned
  • Information about how the Care Team functions
  • What resources are available to support students

We will be more than happy to discuss outreach and education possibilities with you and/or refer you to the most appropriate resource for that topic.

Who is the Care Team?

The Care Team is comprised of many professionals from across campus and typically it is our Care Coordinators who respond to Care Referrals. They work directly with students identified as needing caring outreach, a listening ear, and interventions and referrals based on their specific needs.
