About Kristen

Kristen Lucas serves as the Associate Director of Basic Needs in the Student Care and Resource Center. Kristen joined the Care Team in March 2025.

As Associate Director of Basic Needs, Kristen coordinates the Crimson Cupboard Food Pantry and Office of Student Life Emergency Funding. Kristen spends time connecting with students to ensure they have access to as many campus and community resources as possible.

Kristen previously served as the Administrative Generalist Coordinator for the LGBTQ+ Culture Center. They also spent most of a decade running a large food pantry for a local Community Resource Center.

Kristen is proud to be a first-generation student and much of their life experiences are what led them to pursue a path in food justice and root cause advocacy work. Community is at the center of both their personal and professional life.
