How it works
This program matches incoming students with peer mentors who have been in their shoes and know first-hand what it’s like to learn at IU.
As a mentor reflecting on your first-year experience, you’ll be able to provide a warm welcome to new students, learn from each other, and help them along the way as they navigate their first year at IU.
Become a mentorMentees are matched with a mentor based on common interests, background, academics, or professional aspirations. Mentors and mentees may discuss topics such as:
- How do I succeed in my classes?
- How do I balance school, work, and fun?
- Where can I meet new people and build my network?
- What can I do to prepare for a career or internship?
